Do you remember the Southern Aurua … the grand old lady of the rail line between Melbourne and Sydney is now owned and operated by Journey Beyond, owners and operators of the iconic Ghan and the Indian Pacific, the refurbished Southern Aurua now operates out of Sydney on private curated rail journeys … we will discover the charm of regional New South Wales om this all-inclusive five day Golden West rail tour. From the hustle and bustle of Sydney we take in the sweeping rural plains, cool climate wine growing regions, heritage rich towns as we travel across the Liverpool Plains soaking up the natural splendour of the Capertree Valley, Hunter Region, Orange, Bathurst and Mudgee, all with magnificent off train experiences included.

This amazing tour doesn’t just start and finish with the rail, we will fly to Sydney the night before the tour departs and dine as a group before joining the train the next day … upon completion of our five days on the rail we check in to our hotel for the night, the next day we are treated to an amazing lunch cruise around Sydney Harbour before having the afternoon to self explore more of what Sydney has to offer, whether that is a walk around Darling Harbour, a ferry ride to Manly or just relaxing at our hotel. This tour includes return flights from Melbourne to Sydney.
