ANZAC Day in Canberra – 5 day tour
ANZAC Day in Canberra – 5 day tour
WEDNESDAY 23 – SUNDAY 27 APRIL 2025
Really could there be any more moving or memorable time to visit Canberra than ANZAC Day … we depart Melbourne for the drive up the Hume Highway to Canberra. Our days in Canberra will also include a cruise on Lake Burley Griffin, a visit to the National Gallery, the National Museum of Australia, the Royal Mint, and of course the Australian War Memorial. Every year on the 25th of April, hundreds of thousands of Australians and New Zealanders around the world gather at dawn on Anzac Day. Anzac Day is a time for the community to come together to remember and recognise the service and sacrifice of members of the Australian Defence Force.
Originally a commemoration of the landing of Australian and New Zealand forces at Gallipoli in modern-day Turkey in 1915, Anzac Day is a public expression of gratitude and reflection which resonates to the present day. “We will remember them” as we join this very special ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the National War Museum, our day of remembrance will continue after we have breakfast back in our hotel and before we head back to the ANZAC Parade and National Ceremony.
This very special tour is a definite ‘must do once’ tour …
